  • Increase fluid intake (3-4 liters / day), except for individuals with renal or cardiac problems.
  • Consume small, frequent meals.
  • Include one quart of rice or almond mikl daily to supply calcium and phosphorous.
  • Avoid these foods when taking anti-thyroid medication: cabbage, Brussels sprouts, kale, cauliflower, asparagus, broccoli, soybeans, lettuce, peas, spinach, turnip greens, watercress.
