According to 2016 research, the main cause of Erectile Dysfunction (ED) and Blood Pressure problems is poor vascular function. As a result, the risk factors for ED are the same as those for cardiovascular disease. Some sources indicate that ED may be an early indicator of cardiovascular disease. A healthful diet that includes foods rich in Nitric Oxide and vitamin D may have the potential to improve ED.
Nitric Oxide (N-O) is a gas produced in every tissue and organ in your body, specifically in the lining of your blood vessels. This gas triggers a chemical reaction that tells arteries to relax, which leads to increased oxygen and blood flow.
Poor circulation leads to so many health problems because blood is what transports oxygen, nutrients, water, and hormones all over your body. While aging is bound to happen, high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease don’t have to be a part of it. Reversing this with N-O is the simple, safe, and effective approach. It helps boost oxygen levels, which means energy levels go up, ensuring nutrient delivery, which means faster repair and excellent recovery, and your risk of multiple health issues just about vanishes if better oxygenation occurs.
Nitrates like the ones found in foods like beets and berries increases blood flow by helping your blood vessels expand. And when your blood is flowing freely, that means every last organ in your body is functioning better, which in turn means your risk for disease takes a nosedive. For our purposes in this pak, we use a “food nitrate” called Creatine Nitrate.
Creatine Nitrate can be considered the rockstar nutrient when it comes to promoting blood vessel flexibility and excellent blood flow. In addition to helping your body produce N-O, it’s an excellent catalyst for promoting methylation and muscle growth when stimulated.
Methylation is a process that adds select molecules to various components of proteins, DNA, and so on so they all function correctly and efficiently. A great example is serotonin, the feel-good brain chemical. If not methylated, it becomes dormant and leads to depression and anxiety. Creatine donates the select molecules your body needs to promote methylation.
Anabolism is the scientific term for the biological state of muscle growth. Your body is constantly breaking things down and building back up. However, when it comes to muscle, it’s easy for the body to consider muscle mass expendable for the sake of creating energy. This leads to weakness, poor posture, slower metabolism, and lowered immunity.
Creatine is a key nutrient when it comes to promoting muscle strength. Since your heart doesn’t take a break and is made up of muscle tissue and a network of blood vessels, you want your heart to stay strong and healthy.
Creatine has been proven to act as an antioxidant, promote proper muscle pH, and help with hydration at the cellular level, three things your body needs to repair and grow muscles, thus stay strong and keep your heart healthy.
Arginine is an amino acid that provides the raw materials the body needs to create N-O. This process is a part of the urea cycle, as seen below, that takes place mostly in the liver. The byproduct of this process is urea, which travels through the bloodstream and is filtered out in the kidneys as a waste product, i.e. urine.
Arginine has great potential but it doesn't always increase N-O in the body. So, why include it? Because, when antioxidants and nitrates are present with arginine, it acts as a boost to the circulatory system and promotes Nitric Oxide usage in your body almost every time. That's why all the other nutrients are important in the NOS Performance Paks because they ensure the arginine works to create not only N-O but also nutritionally support the increase of Growth Hormone that is critical for performance in all situations.
New specific studies also show that other vitamins can help with circulation and conditions like Blood Pressure issues and the need for better function during intimacy. These include:
- Vitamin D
- Vitamin B9 (folic acid)
- Vitamin B3 (niacin)
- Vitamin K2 (in MK-7 form)
People with low levels of these nutrients will benefit from getting more of them. The following section looks at what the research says about the connection between certain vitamins and ED.
Vitamins and ED
A 2020 meta-analysis in nutrients found a direct link between vitamin D deficiency and severe ED. Another study of young men with low vitamin D status found that those with a vitamin D deficiency had worse erectile function. This suggests a link between vitamin D deficiency and ED.However, scientists are not sure what the relationship between this vitamin and ED is. Vitamin D may reduce inflammation, improve blood flow, and stimulate nitric oxide production, which is an important part of the erectile response. The main source of vitamin D for humans is sunlight. A person can get more vitamin D by regularly exposing their skin to the sun while using an SPF to protect the skin from UV damage. It is also possible to get some vitamin D from foods, such as:
- oily fish (such as salmon or sardines)
- portobello mushrooms
- fortified milk
- fortified cereal
- egg yolk
People with vitamin D deficiency who cannot get regular sunlight may benefit from taking a vitamin D3 supplement.
Vitamin B9, or folic acid, may also play a role in ED. A 2014 study found that many participants with ED also had a folic acid deficiency.Another 2020 study found that folic acid supplementation may be a useful part of ED treatment, with all 50 participants experiencing some improvement in their symptoms. Be that as it may, the supplement did not cure ED completely.Folic acid comes in two forms: a synthetic version that manufacturers add to food products, and folate, which is naturally-occurring and easier for some people to absorb.
These following foods are rich in folate:
- greens (such as spinach, kale, brussels sprouts, and broccoli)
- citrus fruits
- legumes (such as beans, peas, and lentils)
A synthetic form of vitamin B9 can be found in fortified cereals.
Vitamin B3, or niacin, may also improve erectile function. A 2011 study found that niacin alone could improve symptoms in people with moderate to severe ED. The following foods are rich in vitamin B3:
- meat (such as turkey, chicken, pork, and beef)
- brown rice
CoQ10 is the main nutrient that every single cell utilizes for energy. It has two forms, ubiquinol and ubiquinone. The ubiquinone form is what is most commonly sold to consumers, even though the body doesn’t use CoQ10 in this form. The body actually breaks it down into ubiquinol, which can be a very difficult process, especially if the body is already under stress.
In its ubiquinol form, it keeps the heart strong and healthy, and protects against neurodegenerative AND neuromuscular diseases. While CoQ10 is present in every cell and tissue, it is concentrated mostly in the heart because the heart requires a constant energy flow to keep it beating and keep us alive.
Vitamin K2 in MK-7 Form
Vitamin K2 is an important accompaniment to Vitamin D, without which the latter cannot work properly. Any high potency vitamin D formula without K2 can create deficiencies. Research shows that 97% of the population is deficient in K2.
Different from vitamin K (known as K1), Vitamin K2 works to keep blood vessels free of calcium buildup and ensures calcium is used in the bones. This is why Vitamin K2 is being touted as the most important “unknown” nutrient in the world. K2 has been shown to increase life spans up to seven years in many studies. The form of K2 is critical. Only the MK-7 form lasts a long time in the bloodstream and is the only form derived from food. Vitamin K2 works to keep blood vessels free of calcium buildup, and only the MK-7 form lasts a long time in the bloodstream, helping increase your lifespan by up to 7 years.
With all these nutrients combined, the NOS Performance Paks will most certainly help improve restrictive blood flow conditions and get the blood pumping again. The NOS Performance Paks are the most potent and effective combination of nutrients for performance circulation needs available.
The best news is that with Nitric Oxide, blood flow and performance increase can be felt within 15-20 minutes of taking the NOS Performance Paks and so you can prove it yourself.
“Taking a NOS Pak daily can help keep blood flow going so that blood pressure and performance can be consistent”
NOTE: Take a serving of Fruit & Veggie along with the pak for even greater results and for the nutritional support of Blood Pressure normalization and performance circulation.
